FAQ

What hormones does Mira test?

E3G (estrone 3-glucuronide, a urine metabolite of estrogen), LH, PdG (pregnanediol glucuronide, a urine metabolite of progeserone), and FSH.

What if my sleep schedule is abnormal or I cannot collect a first-morning urine?

Collect your sample after your longest period of sleep, ensuring it is a concentrated sample by holding your urine for at least 4 hours while limiting oral fluid intake for at least 2 hours before the test. For best results, try to be consistent with your testing pattern.

Your website states that different types of wands should not be used in the same cycle, what would you recommend?

We advise against switching wand types during a cycle because different wands (or different lots) can cause slight variations in E3G measurements. However, switching after ovulation is acceptable.

Can patients continue to test after getting a positive pregnancy test?

No, Mira has not been studied for use in pregnancy and therefore, patients should stop testing after a positive pregnancy test.

How long does the battery for the analyzer typically last?

The battery life of the analyzer depends on the frequency of use and the number of test wands used. Typically, the battery lasts anywhere from several days to up to 2 weeks. For optimal performance, we recommend regularly monitoring the battery level and charging as needed.
